Competitive Youth Football                   

In an effort to further the developmental opportunities for area youth football players. The Blue Springs Football Organization is being launched in 2009 to begin exploring the district, regional, and national competitive youth football marketplace.  As with most youth sports today, there is a growing trend to have more competitive focused training to better prepare these young athletes for the diminishing opportunities that exist for them to continue in competitive athletics at the scholastic and collegiate levels. This trend requires young athletes to learn how to train and compete locally, regionally, within the state, or throughout the nation.   The objective of this 2009 Market exploration is to determine the viability and demand for competitive youth football within the Blue Springs and Eastern Jackson County marketplace.

The Blue Springs Football Organization is now accepting 2009 registrations for the 3rd Grade competitive tackle football season. Space will be limited to the top 18-20 players from the Blue Springs/Eastern Jackson County Area.

Cost per player for the 2009 Season is $275 which includes:

• Team Uniform: Jersey, Pants, Socks
• Protective Gear: Helmet, Shoulder Pads, HTTK pads, mouthpiece
• KAW Valley League Registration: 7-10 games thru Super Bowl
• NYSSO Tournament Registration: 2 NYSSO Tournaments 2-6 games

Each Player will also be required to do additional team fundraising for championship tournaments, team equipment, supplies, and end of season banquet and awards.  A $500 Corporate Sponsorship will cover all costs for your player.  Sponsor will receive banner on team web site, listed in Team E-mail distributions, and listed on team rosters handed out at all games.  Corporate Sponsorship solicitation letter will be provided. 

League games will be played on Saturdays at the Field of Dreams located in Basehor,KS. Additional games may be played in other communities within the area. Each team will play a minimum of seven (7) league games. At the end of the season all teams will advance to a League Superbowl or a Bowl game. League play will begin on Sept 12,2009. The KVL will provide insurance, awards( for all players and cheerleaders), referees and a well maintained facility. The league will be divided into the following divisions: Flag (K-1) Tackle will be 2nd-7th grade. The KVL League Commissioner will rule on all issues not clearly stated in league rules.  

All players must have a current athletic physical (completed in 09), proof of 2009 grade card and a copy of their birth certificate, and $275 registration fee turned into team administrator by July 22, 2009. Practices begin August 3rd, 6pm Blue Springs High School.

3rd Grade BEARS, KVL, and NYSSO

For the 2009 Season, Blue Springs Football Organization will consist of only the BEARS 3rd Grade Tackle Team. The team will compete in the Kansas Valley Football/Cheerleader League and the NYSSO Chartered Tournament Events. The future may consist of competitive teams from Grades 2-8 consisting of the best players and teams from our community competing at the District, Region, and National levels.
